“Nature’s first green is gold, her hardest hue to hold” -Robert Frost
The first flowers of spring have been an elevation to my spirit. Snowdrops, Crocus and Daffodils are welcome signs of winter's end and new life/ experiences ready to begin! It seems as though we are all holding our breath, preparing to mourn and wade in grief. We don’t know how many days we are given. Change is full of polarized emotions. I feel like it is essential to look for the beauty and wonder in each day. How about noticing the bird song? Feeling the flirty warm sunshine on your face. Taking a few breaths to lift your heart and still your mind. We are built for joy and connection. Sometimes we need to experience the pain to feel the opposite, gratitude for what we already have.
I am currently on a journey of soul evolution:
day 46 of no junk (no processed foods, no news, no youtube)
day 111 of my 1,000 meditation “For Removing Fear of the Future”
Let me tell you what I have gained from this commitment so far. My anxiety went from an 11 down to a 4. Letting go of the headlines that kept me engaged, angry and panicked has done wonders for me. Youtube has a way of stealing hours of our precious time without even noticing. It also has a way of pulling us into whatever silo the algorithm places us into. I much prefer to think for myself than to let the AI think for me. Not eating processed food has been a challenge. I miss easy meals and snacks. Comfort food is always some form of processed. Here are the benefits though: I have been less swollen, inflammation has gone from a 9 down to a 2. My digestion is better and pain never lingers. I also have more energy and less difficulty sleeping. My 1,000 day meditation opens my heart, while creating stability and protection around it. It settles my soul and helps me to live in the moment.
Things to ponder for April’s yogic numerology
4 represents themes of process, structure, order, the neutral mind, work/ service and having a heart that marches to the beat of your own drum.
It’s time to think outside the box for personal change, expansion, growth and healing. We all require our own unique blend of medicine!
We MUST set boundaries in order to maintain balance during these turbulent times!
There is always a way to elevate your spirit. Rise above the chaos and find the connections/ alliances waiting for you.
