Detroit Rescue Mission Ministries
Founded in 1909, The Detroit Rescue Mission Ministries has spent over 100 years of continued service providing food, shelter and services to intervene where homelessness and substance addiction occur.
I provide group art therapy services here.
Disability Network Wayne County
Disability Network Wayne County Detroit is a community service, community resource and advocacy nonprofit organization. It serves individuals in the City of Detroit and Wayne County with disabilities.
I provide group art therapy services here.
GVST Wellness
GVST Wellness is a group that focuses on connection, community and whole body (physical, mental, emotional and spiritual) wellness.
Join me for a drop in Kundalini Yoga class or workshop here.
Hippie Yoga
At Hippie Yoga, we believe in finding peace of mind and love of body through yoga. Our studio is a welcoming space for every body, offering yoga that meets you where you are—no expectations, no pressure, just movement that feels good.
Join me for an occasional workshop here. I am also a patron.
Samaritas: New Americans
At Samaritas, we have made a concerted effort to focus our work in four core areas of impact: Housing for all, providing Child and Family Services to Michigan families including foster care, family preservation and adoption, welcoming New Americans with the support they need, and helping people connect with mental health and addiction resources.
I provided art therapy sessions and yoga here from 2020-2024 for refugee children and families.
Casali School of Dance
Our goal is to give every person the tools to discover all that dance has to offer. Every student is an important part of the Casali Dance Family. Our staff is dedicated and proud to help the dancers become the best version of themselves.
We joined the dance family in 2014!
the Dance Scene
Opened in 1976 the Dance Scene studio has been providing a place for Metro Detroit residents to express themselves through dance for over 40 years. The studio hosts private dance lessons, group lessons and several parties and events. The Dance Scene’s mission is to enrich lives by building confidence, encouraging wellness and providing opportunities for social connection through dance.
We joined this dance community in 2018!
American Art Therapy Association
The American Art Therapy Association (AATA) is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit, non-partisan, professional, and educational organization dedicated to the growth and development of the art therapy profession. Founded in 1969, the American Art Therapy Association is one of the world’s leading art therapy membership organizations.
I have been a member since 2018.
Kundalini Research Institute
Our vision is to be a progressive, global organization that fosters a spiritual, aware and self-empowered humanity. KRI is a non-profit organization that holds the teachings of Yogi Bhajan and provides accessible and relevant resources to teachers and students of Kundalini Yoga. Our mission is to make the benefits and practice of Kundalini Yoga accessible to all people from all backgrounds.
I began my yogic education with KRI in 2009.
Michigan Public
Michigan Public is the public radio station licensed to the Regents of the University of Michigan. Michigan Public’s mission is to uncover the facts, share the stories, and create the connections that give meaning to our complex world. This is part of our vision for an informed and engaged Michigan.
I began listening to NPR in 2002. It is a great source for news, entertainment and information!
